Dr. Nishanian earned his medical degree from Tulane Medical School in New Orleans, LA. He held an internship in the department of surgery with Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles, and a research fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery and transplantation at the University of Southern CA School of Medicine in Los Angeles. He then completed a residency in the department of Surgery at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles, followed by fellowships in vascular and endovascular surgery and clinical vascular surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance. Dr. Nishanian is certified in both surgery and vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery.
